Snoopy, Charlie Brown and the rest of the "Peanuts" gang will be on view at the Clinton Presidential Center in two new exhibits, opening Jan. 17! The exhibits--"Pigskin Peanuts" and "Heartbreak in Peanuts"--come from the Charles M. Schulz Museum and Research Center, and will explore two themes that defined the iconic comic strip characters.

"Pigskin Peanuts" will feature Schulz's football-themed comics, while "Heartbreak in Peanuts" will explore over 70 original strips that focus on lost love. The exhibitions will feature reproductions of Charles Schulz's original comic strips, life-size sculptures of Charlie Brown and Snoopy, and themed ephemera.

Families can celebrate the exhibit openings at two fun events this weekend. A special reception will be held Jan. 16 at 6 p.m. and guests of all ages are invited. Snoopy will be serving some of his favorite foods: pizza, chocolate chip cookies, hot chocolate, and root beer! Plus, Karen Johnson, Executive Director at the Charles M. Schulz Museum and Research Center, will lead an interactive discussion about the artist, the exhibits, and the characters. The event is free, but reservations are required. To RSVP, email LREvent@ClintonFoundation.org or call (501) 748-0425.

Then, on Sat., Jan. 17, visitors can celebrate the official grand openings with themed activities throughout the center from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Plus, guests will have the opportunity to take a photo with Snoopy. Corry Kanzenberg, of the Charles M. Schulz Museum and Research Center, will also present an educational program about the artist and his life and legacy from 10–11 a.m.
