Alligator Feeding at Central Arkansas Nature Center: Alligators don't eat as often as people, but they do eat regularly. Curious visitors to the Nature Center can peek at some hungry gators (and their chompers!) as they enjoy their weekly meals at 2 p.m. every Friday. Creature Feature at Central Arkansas Nature Center: A nature center educator introduces one of the resident critters. Heifer Hour: South America & Pigs at Heifer Village: Learn about pigs in South America, specifically in Bolivia, and make and take a muddy pig home! Heifer Hour is a free interactive family event with something new to learn and share. The program includes a reading and fun activities on the second Saturday of each month. 11 a.m.-noon. Jan. 10. Lil' Wild Ones: "Wood Duck Diaries" at Central Arkansas Nature Center: Discover the life of a Wood Duck through pictures, sound and touch.
