It's been a while since the last installment in our blog series, Foodie Families, in which we share the latest news about Little Rock's family-friendly restaurant scene. Since then, we've heard about so many tasty treats coming to central Arkansas! Here are a few new spots we think that families will love.

Damgoode Pies: This pizza hotspot will open its fourth location in former home of Boscos, which closed in Sept. We're particularly excited about the "slice bar." For more info, see the full report here. 

Piro Pizza: Speaking of pizza, a new joint is undergoing construction in the SoMa district. Piro will serve Neapolitan-style pizza in "a casual, kid-friendly atmosphere" according to its Facebook page. Little Rock Soiree has more details here.

Three Fold Noodles and Dumpling Co.: Also downtown, this soon-to-open eatery will soon serve up traditional Chinese dumplings and noodles--and we'll be there slurping them down! More info here.

KBird: Fans of the food truck scene will be happy to know that this Thai food truck will soon have a brick-and-mortar location! Click here for more details.

Chuy's: We reported back in July that a Chuy's North Little Rock location was in the works. The Tex-Mex chain has officially confirmed that its second central Arkansas location will open in North Little Rock in March 2015. The restaurant will be located at 5105 Warden Road.

BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse: North Little Rock will also have its own BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse in summer of 2015. The restaurant -- known for its deep-dish pizza and extensive craft beer menu -- is being constructed on the southeast parking lot of McCain Mall.

Bar Louie: And while we're talking about McCain Mall, the shopping center recently announced the early 2015 opening of another national restaurant chain--Bar Louie. True to its name, the restaurant is a bar scene at night, but during the day, families can't go wrong with menu offerings like bacon cheeseburger sliders and baked mac-and-cheese.
