The iconic Rocket Slide in North Little Rock is open once again! The popular Burns Park playground was closed in January 2014 after being burned and vandalized. The newest version of the playground was unvelied on Friday, June 20 by North Little Rock Mayor Joe Smith.

The new play equipment is in the shape of a rocket with fun details that invite lots of space and astronaut play, such as a "rocket fuel" chamber and shuttle entrance. The rocket includes three tiers, a rock climbing wall, bridgeway and multiple covered slides.

Little Rock Family visited the play area on Friday. Check out our photos below! For more info on Burns Park and where to find the Rocket Slide playground, visit NLRPR.org.
