Parents, you've probably read this one a time or two before: "Click, Clack, Moo: Cows That Type" by Doreen Cronin and illustrator Betsy Lewin is a popular, award-winning children's book that was given a Caldecott Honor in 2001. Now, children can see the storybook come to life onstage at the Arkansas Arts Center Children's Theatre!

Opening Jan. 24, "Click, Clack, Moo: Cows That Type" was adapted from its source material by James E. Grote, with music by George Howe and lyrics by Howe and Grote. Like the book, the play follows farm animals that find a typewriter and learn to type messages to Farmer Brown. Because the barn is cold, they type a request for electric blankets. After the farmer laughs off their demands, the cows and chickens go on strike and refuse to provide milk and eggs.

The Arkansas Arts Center Children's Theatre will present "Click, Clack, Moo: Cows That Type" from Jan. 24-Feb. 9. Showtimes are 7 p.m. Fri. and 2 p.m. Sat. & Sun. Tickets are $12.50.
