InArkansas.com polled its readers on where to find some of the best fries around last week.

Here are a few places noted as hot spots to get your next French fry fix:

  1. David's Burgers, 101 S. Bowman Road, west Little Rock; 3510 Landers Road, North Little Rock; 1100 Skyline Dr., Conway: Burgers are the name of the game at this hoppin' joint that has locations in Conway, North Little Rock and west Little Rock. The home of the "Butcher Boy" burger -- tied back to CJ's Burger Boy in Russellville (one of my favorite burgers in the state!) -- has a short menu of burgers, grilled cheese, salads and the crispy fries, which come with all of the burgers or a la carte at $1.99. Jarred Kibbey said on Facebook that he "could eat his weight in David's Burgers fries." We agree! See what what you can find at the different locations here.
  2. Big Orange, 17809 Chenal Pkwy., Ste. G-101, Little Rock; 207 N. University, Little Rock: If you haven't tried any of the burger eatery's specialty fries, you haven't lived yet! On the menu, you'll find sweet potato fries (served with mango-curry ketchup), regular house fries (served with BOB sauce) and then there's the truffle-garlic-herb fries (baked in white truffle oil and fresh herbs and served with aioli) -- a favorite of Little Rock Family Managing Editor Blair Neel. When you order them as sides, split with your foodie friends because they are big portions! Check out the full menu of amazing burgers, salads, shakes and delectable libations here.
  3. The Pantry, 11401 Rodney Parham Road, Little Rock: In west Little Rock, you'll find this cozy little eatery/bar offering awesome international fare, a great selection of brews and drinks and some of the best desserts around. For starters, pick from truffled deviled eggs, buffalo shrimp, country pate and the most delicious of them all: the pommes frites served with garlic mayo and spicy ketchup, a favorite of Noah Slabodnick on Facebook. See what you can pair the fries with here.
  4. Maddie's Place, 1615 Rebsamen Park Road, Little Rock: This hot little Cajun spot on restaurant row in Riverdale next to Faded Rose is known for its po'boys and tons of other flavorful dishes like gumbo and red beans and rice. And something else foodies love are the scrumptious fries. There are a few options when it comes to the fries, including truffle parmesan fries as a starter plate and the good old-fashioned French fries that come with some of the plates. Wendy Willis is a fan, saying on Facebook that "they are cut fresh each day" and are "the perfect size -- always crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. And, they are always served fresh and hot. Served up with a shrimp po'boy for lunch and you've got heaven on a plate!" Click here for the full menu.
  5. South on Main, 1304 Main St., Little Rock: The newest restaurant on the block opened just a few short week ago with a bang. Starting off with lunch service, the restaurant offers plenty of savory entrees, salads, sandwiches and soups, with a few snacks to kick things off. You could get the brown beans (which I love!), glazed carrots, boiled peanuts or hand-cut fries, which is a favorite starter for many. This includes our marketing assistant Devan Malone, who says they are "the BEST!" Crispy on the outside and salty and delicious on the outside, these also pair great with the club sandwich. You can find the fries on the lunch menu, but they are not offered for dinner, which started yesterday (Aug. 20). Check out the menu here.
