We all know fathers who have every gadget and gizmo on the market. Instead of searching for the newest doohickey in the tool department, set up a special day for your youngsters and their Dad:

  1. Cheer on the Arkansas Travelers at Dickey-Stephens Park. It's an intrastate match-up between the hometown team and the Northwest Arkansas Naturals. First pitch is scheduled for 6:10. See Family Fun in the digital edition for more June home game dates.
  2. Take a hike on Pinnacle Mountain or pack a picnic and spend the day at Two Rivers Park.
  3. Slurp shakes together at The Purple Cow.
  4. Create everything from robots to origami in the Museum of Discovery’s Tinkering Studio.
  5. Tour the Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame, located in Verizon Arena, for a look at the local history of football, baseball, tennis, golf and racing.
  6. Learn all about Arkansas’ diverse habitats through exhibits on fish and wildlife, aquariums and more at Witt Stephens Jr. Central Arkansas Nature Center.
  7. Little ones can play the day away at The Wonder Place. On Dad’s Day (June 16), fathers get in free with the purchase of at least one regular-priced admission.
