Watch members of state horse associations from across Arkansas compete for the chance to be one of the top 10 in their event at the Arkansas State Championship Horse Show, happening Friday-Monday at Barton Coliseum, 2600 Howard St., Little Rock. 

More than 1,800 horses and 1,300 riders will compete in the categories of walk trot, non-pro western pleasure, buckaroo barrels and barrel pickup. 

Public hours begin at 1 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Saturday-Monday. Admission is $8 per day; two-day admission for Friday and Saturday is $10. A portion of proceeds will benefit Arkansas Children's Hospital.
