10 Events for Weekend Family Fun
From the theater to the ballpark, there is plenty of entertainment happening in central Arkansas this weekend. Not in the mood for a show? Try out a kids cooking class or explore the temporary Xtreme Bugs exhibit at the Clinton Center before it closes!

Friday
Whole Kids Club at Whole Food Market: Join Whole Foods for story time, songs and fun foodie activities along with free snacks and crafts. This week's theme is a summer art party with special guest Kinsey Perry ART. Kids will participate in a painting craft. 10 a.m. For more info, click here. FREE!
Kids Summer Cooking Class at Eggshells Kitchen Co.: Cool off and have fun in the kitchen! Participants will get to make banana chocolate chip ice cream bites, fruit icepops, melon ball skewers with fruit dip and banana splits on a stick. Arkansas Travelers vs. Springfield Cardinals at Dickey-Stephens Park: The first 1,000 fans receive a free temporary tattoo at the gate, plus it's zombie theme night. Pick up a Zombie survival guide at the information booth when you arrive and find the items you need to keep your brain! Mom and dad can also receive a free ticket to the game by donating blood at the mobile Red Cross donor coach on the plaza. Game starts at 7:10 p.m. Tickets $6-$12. PopUp Argenta: Stop by a brand new community space during the Argenta Art Walk! Features a performance stage with music and comedy acts, food trucks, local vendors, Etsy vendors, and artists. There's also a kids corner and food trucks for the whole family to enjoy. Super Summer Saturday at the Clinton Center: In conjunction with the current temporary exhibit, Xtreme Bugs, children will learn how to work as a team, just like their favorite bugs do to survive! Representatives from the Little Rock Zoo will be onsite to show Madagascar hissing cockroaches, stick bugs and tarantulas from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. While Super Summer Saturday activites are free, admission fees to tour the permanent and temporary exhibits will still be charged. Arkansas Travelers vs. Springfield Cardinals at Dickey-Stephens Park: It's $10 family Sunday at the ballpark! Bring your church bulletin to Dickey-Stephens Park from the service that day and your family (two adults and up to four kids ages 14 and under) will be admitted for $10. "The Wizard of Oz" at Murry's Dinner Playhouse: Follow the yellow brick road straight to Murry's Dinner Playhouse for a family night at the theater as "The Wizard of Oz" hits the stage. Friday and Saturday dinner is from 6-7:20 p.m. and the show starts at 7:30 p.m. On Sunday, there is a matinee with lunch from 11 a.m.-12:40 p.m. and the show at 12:45 p.m. as well as an evening performance with dinner from 5:30-6:40 p.m. and the show at 6:45 p.m. Tickets range from $15-$37.
