3 Ways to Have a Fairytale Day With Princesses in Little Rock
If your daughter is still obsessing over princesses (like she has been since “Frozen” came out), then maybe it’s time to have a day focused on those fascinations. Perfect for spring break, a weekend when you’re looking for a little getaway or just any time the family is wanting to try something new, here are fun ways to enjoy your kids’ obsessions with them.
Since Disneyland and Disney World are a long drive or an expensive plane ride away, it can be difficult to feed your girls’ princess obsessions in any way other than watching “Brave” and “Cinderella” on repeat. Here are some ways to bring the fairytale magic to life right here in central Arkansas.
The Castle on Stagecoach (Little Rock)
This privately owned, castle-style home is on the outskirts of Little Rock and plays host to many public events throughout the year. There is a monthly princess tea party featuring different princess guests each month with singing, dancing, photo opportunities and more. The upcoming teas are on March 12, April 9 and May 21.
Pigtails & Crewcuts (Little Rock, Conway, Fayetteville and Rogers)
This kids salon does more than standard haircuts — they have a whole trunk of princess costumes for a birthday party that can make your daughter feel like royalty. The salon does birthday parties for groups of up to 20 kids, which includes updos and painted toenails for all the princesses as well as a tea party or fashion show. Individual girls can also go in for princess-style updos and nail painting, but you’ll have to provide your own princess costume without the party package.
Arkansas Arts Center Children’s Theatre (Little Rock)
The classic princess tale “Rapunzel” will be on stage at the theater from April 28-May 12. The performance is geared towards kids so there’s no need to worry about the witch being too scary for your little ones. Tickets are now available for purchase, so plan ahead and mark your calendars for this fun show.
