Get ready to take your family out to the ball game! The Arkansas Travelers are gearing up for their 2015 season and you'll notice a few exciting changes when you visit. The first home game at Dickey-Stephens Park will be April 16; here are a few things to look forward to!
The popular Kids Korner boasts four brand-new inflatable attractions this season, including a bounce house, obstacle course, and slide. The main attraction is a custom bouncer in the shape of Otey--kids can jump on the swamp possum’s belly! (Admission to the Kids Korner is $4 and includes unlimited play during the game.)
Little ones will also enjoy the addition of a trackless train that will chug-a-chug through the concourse for the entire game. Older kiddos can check out the brand-new arcade behind home plate--play “Big Buck Hunter Pro,” “Galaga,” and “Drift,” a car racing game.
A trip to the ballpark isn't complete without a concession stand treat, and fans get a brand-new option this year: The "Fudge Puppy" is a Belgian waffle on a stick, covered in chocolate sauce, whipped cream and nuts.
Weekly promotions include $1 Hot Dog Nights every Wednesday (excluding 4/29); “Zoosday Tuesday” featuring animals from the Little Rock Zoo at each Tuesday game; and Thursday Theme Nights, which will include a Princess & Pirate Night, Star Wars Night, Super Hero Night, Halloween Night and more.
Sunday is also “Family Day” where fans can enjoy Sunday morning at church, and bring their church bulletin to the park to receive $10 admission for the entire family, which includes two adults and up to four children 14 & under!
And, kids ages 12 and under are invited to join Ace’s Kids Club, which includes a t-shirt and tickets to all 12 Sunday home games and four tickets for any game. Another perk of membership is the Kids Korner Punch Card, which gains Kids Club members one free admission to the bounce area after five paid visits. Members can also participate in the Kids Dash across the outfield during Sunday games, and get to be first in line to run the bases. Ace’s Kids Club membership is $20 and includes exclusive discounts and drawings. For more information, call (501) 664-1555 or click here.
